I have another meeting with our Board of Trustees this coming Monday night (6/17) regarding our team's painting of the exposed wood and trash bins. I will be asking that the Village cover us (insurance-wise), not C2K (they are in the process of revamping their insurance) as this is not a PK function for the sake of PK, but our team volunteering to paint something that belongs to the village and community. It occurred to me that this is not a public function, the park will be closed for the hours we paint - isn't this the same as when any work is done on the park and it's closed? Can it be considered the same? Also, the park is insured anyway, when skaters are there or not. I will see what I can find out, hopefully we will get approval.
