Greetings all !

Tonight's meeting with the Mayor and Board of Trustees was a wonderful boost to PK morale!

- Our proposal for painting the exposed wood and trash bins was enthusiastically welcomed! I will be putting together a final proposal with specific dates and a copy of an insurance rider (hopefully!) to be submitted on the 12th for the next Board meeting on 6/17. Here is the example we provided the Board:

- Skate Team... let's get together and come up with ideas for how to paint the trash/recycle bins! I came up with what's below just in a pinch to give the Board an idea - we will have to use our color scheme, but we could add black too. Who can make a meeting at the skate park after school on Mon. 6/10 - in case it rains we could meet at the Tuscan...let me know.

- Thanks go to Ekua Sharp and Keishawn Norman for being there with me at the meeting, I appreciate your support! Thanks also go to Trustee McManus for offering the Warwick Lion's Club to pay for paint for the project! We appreciate that very much!

- Also mentioned:
     - working with C2K sponsoring so that Project Knomad can offer WVCSD students community service hours to keep the park clean, for any service performed for the benefit of the park or PK community events such as this painting project, helping with events and activities, etc. I will bring this up at the next C2K meeting a week from tonight.

This paint project will need volunteers - who likes to paint?

A few of us will need to go in ahead to scrape/sand/primer the wood - who will volunteer for this?

We will also need donations of paint brushes, plastic buckets and old sheets/tarps and rolls of masking tape - let me know if you have or have access to these items!

Please respond to projectknomad@gmail.com if you can participate/donate, etc.
Thanks so much!
Donna
