We are shooting for this coming Tuesday night - 7/16 - from 5:30 till 8:30 - we will have to close the skate park while we paint it - but we are hoping to complete all we need to do in one evening!! The skate park will be open as of Wednesday morning. It will look something like this:
We will have more bins for trash and also for recycling... PLEASE.... throw your trash away and where it belongs, it helps to keep our skate park looking great!
The skate park will also be getting a whole new surface soon! No more pits and cracks!! YES!
Project Knomad wants to thank these Warwick organizations; the DPW for the resurfacing, the Lion's Club for supplying insurance coverage and paint and our Mayor, Parks & Rec and the Village Board of Trustees for their help and support! We especially want to thank those who have committed to helping get the work done on Tuesday - YOU ROCK!!
Once the ramps are painted, it's time to have some fun! Look forward to PK Fun and Games Day, coming soon!! PK Fun&GamesDay will have games, art/craft activities, music, refreshments, and of course, SKATE BOARDING!
PK is also looking forward to creating an incredible perma-culture garden next to the skate park - just beyond the fence. This will take two phases to complete, end of summer and spring. We go before the Board for approval on Monday.
