Project Knomad is about connection... building bridges... gathering resources and manifesting. That said, we wanna have some fun!

First, we meet with the Mayor and Park/Rec Bill Lindberg tomorrow morning to discuss 'arting up' our skate park - PK Skate Team & Friends need to make our park more appealing to the general masses! We need to get the PK word out there - our skate team got plans, now we put it into phases for approval...man, this process takes time. So...if we're gonna use the park we have in the meantime we can bring some great attention to the 'new park' by getting people to the site! Skate, create, paint and have some fun!!

PK would love a small summer program to take place - art, skateboarding, projects, fun...in the park too? We would need volunteer artists/creatives/skill sharers/musicians for this - let me know if this is something you want to be part of!! Skaters...feel like you can help someone learn to skate? Got a talent you want to share?

PK wants to picnic too...more fun in the park to keep our community aware of our plans and gain more support! We want a park for everyone to enjoy!!

Keep ya posted about the meeting!

On another note -

I have been in contact with artspace.org. http://www.artspace.org/ - speaking to one of their people today gave me some insight into how they create space for artists - and how they are seeing the need for makerspaces - they consult with everyone concerned with creating space, from the artists to the politicians, all aspects of the community at large - to see how to create space... check out their site. I will be keeping in touch with them, hey ya nevah know!

PK has a consultant donating time to help us become a nonprofit - connection is everywhere, he and his wife know Barbara Lanza, an Ian connection there for sure and certainly what seemed by chance when they walked into the store where I worked. I had never met them...serendipity!

One step at a time...
