Meeting Update!

Greetings fellow Knomads... Donna here with a PK meeting update!

Last night's meeting at Village Hall was informative -

~ PK Skate Team got to show their vision plan for the new skate park which was well received by the Mayor and Bill Lindberg (Parks & Rec). The team can now get together with them to discuss phases, approvals, financial needs, etc. Then we're on to fundraising! Jon will blog about this along the way!

~ PK Permaculture preseentation, given by Innis Wolf, helped define and educate about how PK wants to proceed with a community garden with specific earth-cooperative methods based on our unique setting. We hope to put a garden in Memorial Park (or another place in the village if that isn't optimal) and Innis is working on the details - more from Innis on this blog regarding PK Perma!

~ PK Sustainable Scouts followed Permaculture info - a natural segue surely! PK Scouts will be hosting an activity event to kick off the initiative. Keep you posted about this! Innis Wolf and Essra Paddock will be keeping in touch here with PK Scouts information.

~ Neisha Hirsch, our arts director, continues to work on our intiatives logos and our website. PK now has it's logo - with great respect and thanks to Ian Sharp - and the individual initiatives get their own identifiers, making PK recognizable. Neisha will keep everyone update here with all the branding information.

So, PK moves forward on all four wheels! We are on to product design and development with the Skate Team - our skaters are full of good ideas for t-shirts/apparel, stickers, skateboards and more.  We are planning a spring Skate Art event and a summer picnic along with the kick off for PK Scouts. 
Best news of all - the skate park anticipates opening within the week!!! Our skaters are VERY happy about that and so are we!!
